Modern CV Template (Free, ATS-Friendly)

Modern is the template most people should start with. It is a single column with your name and section headings in one accent colour, clean sans-serif type and generous spacing, so a recruiter can scan it in the six seconds they usually give a CV.

Because everything sits in one column, applicant tracking systems read it top to bottom exactly as you wrote it: no text boxes, no tables, no icons standing in for words. It suits tech and product roles, but it works just as well for sales, operations or a first job.

Pick an accent that matches your field, keep it to one or two pages, and let your achievements do the talking. You can switch to any other template later without retyping a word.
